MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Forestville Boys & Girls Club (FBGC) is to provide an enriched and positive atmosphere for all youths in the community in their endeavor to successfully participate in FBGC sponsored activities while pursuing continuous improvement in family relations, social interactions, personal growth and career development during and beyond Club membership.

 

HISTORY

The Forestville Boys & Girls Club was originally formed in 1955 as the Forestville Little League so that boys within the Forestville area could participate in organized baseball.  In 1959 the Club expanded to other phases of organized sports and was renamed the Forestville Boys Club and became a participating member of the Prince Georges County Boys & Girls (PGCBGC).  Expansion occurred again in 1973 to include girls and the Club became known as the Prince George's County Boys & Girls Club of Forestville, Inc.
